Editorial Calendar for 2012 - 2013

The editorial team and publishers of the Annals of Gastroentrology & Hepatology are currently preparing the editorial agenda for the two issues that we would have for editorial calendar year March 2012 until March 2013 of the Annals of Gastroenterology & Hepatology.

I would like to invite you to contribute a new research or review article (around 2,500 – 4,000 words in length) for inclusion in the publication discussing any of the topics that were suggested by our distinguished editorial board members and subscribers.  The following were suggested:

1.       Esophageal motility abnormalities – how to bridge advances in diagnosis with lack of effective treatment?

2.       Global ethnic distribution of IBS and its impact on disease presentation.

3.      Current therapeutic approach for non-variceal bleed

4.      The role of inflammation in functional dyspepsia

5.      Are there promising biomarkers for neoplastic progression in patients with Barrett’s esophagus?

6.      Irritable Bowel Syndrome; new thoughts on pathophysiology

7.      FODMAPS what are they and what is their relevance to gastroenterology:

8.      Esophageal Impedance and high resolution manometry: what is their role in the assessment of esophageal disorders?

9.      Eosinophilic esophagitis:

10.   What have genetics and pharmacogenomics taught us about the diagnosis and management of IBD?

11.    Is a gluten-free diet the only treatment for celiac disease?

12.    Clostridium difficile-related disease.

I certainly believe that these areas are very salient, and thus an article from you addressing this would be of great interest to the publication's readers.
